U12 Draco Cup winners
There were two great finals in the Bríd Og Draco Floodlight Cup and Shield. Bríd Og came out winners in the cup final, snatching victory from Lamh Dearg in the last minute with two well taken goals. St Galls were winners in the shield final overcoming Creggan in another tight game. The tournament was over 3 weeks and on show was a very high level of hurling from all clubs. A big thank you to all mentors and players who participated in the games over the last month.

P7/6 Shield Winners
Bríd Óg's P7/6 squad travelled to the Meadowbank Arena in Magherafelt to play in the Maggie Close Memorial Tournament, hosted by Moneyglass GAC. The long trip was worth it, as the boys returned home with the shield. Although a slow start meant Bríd Óg lost their first match, the response of the boys was magnificent as they won all six remaining games to deservedly win the shield competition. Thanks very much to Moneyglass for again inviting us to their tournament. Yet again it was a great day's hurling for our lads.

U16 Championship Final
In Bríd Óg's first ever championship match at U16 level our team won their semi final against Gort Na Mona by 6-11 to 3-5. It was an entertaining and competitive match, with Brid Òg's ability to take their goals being a big factor in the boys coming out on top.
The final is against Lamh Dhearg and is scheduled for 6.15pm on Friday 6th October at Woodlands. All support welcome, so get out and give the boys your support. Good luck to the players and coaches involved.

Cherryvale Cup
Our U9s were invited by Bredagh to partipate in the inaugural Cherryvale Cup. There were four tough group games and Brid Og saved their best performance for the crucial last game. An impressive win over Ballygalget saw the team qualify for the cup semi-final. This game against St Galls proved to be an epic. The teams were level at full-time and also after extra-time. So the game continued until one of the teams scored. Unfortunately, it was our opponents who finally got the breakthrough and advanced to the final. It was tough luck on the Brid Og kids, but they had played superbly all through the tournament. There was an opportunity to meet former Tipperary and All-Ireland winner, Benny Dunne and get a well-deserved ie-cream.

U12s at Croke Park
The U12s had a great day out at the Croke Park blitz. On a nice sunny day, they played two matches on the hallowed ground and won both of them. They opened with a win over Loch Mor and followed that with a last-gasp, and rather fortuitous, victory over St Johns. After this they were taken on a tour of the stadium and museum and the day was finished off with a trip to Applegreen for a well-deserved burger on the way home.
